Where quality begins
Laboratory Overview
Our in-house laboratory is the backbone of how Research Chems China operates. We never take supplier paperwork at face value – every incoming batch undergoes our own rigorous testing: identity confirmed, purity measured, and results recorded using validated analytical methods before any material is released into stock.
Our bench is staffed by experienced analytical chemists who understand exactly how much depends on a single reliable data point. They apply the same discipline you would expect in your own laboratory – because quality control should never be held to a lower standard than the science it supports.
With our laboratory located alongside our warehousing and dispatch operations, materials flow seamlessly from goods-in inspection through to released inventory. Nothing becomes available for order until the complete analytical file for that batch is finalized and verified.
Independent verification
Every batch is independently assessed by our own analysts before it reaches available stock. A supplier certificate is a starting point – never the final word. We verify everything ourselves.
What we do
Analytical Capabilities
Our analysts follow a defined set of procedures built around three essential questions: Is this the right material? How pure is it? And can we prove both – with complete documentation?
Identity Verification
Validated analytical techniques confirm that the material in the container matches the material on the label – your first line of defence against any discrepancy reaching your laboratory.
Purity Assessment
Purity is determined using methods specifically suited to each compound, with results recorded in the batch file and, where applicable, included on the Certificate of Analysis you receive.
Visual Inspection
Every batch is examined for colour, physical form, and visible contamination. While not a measure of purity, this step catches potential issues early and flags batches for closer investigation.
Packaging Inspection
Before any parcel leaves our facility, we inspect the packaging itself – tamper-evident seals, moisture barriers, and containment appropriate to the contents – ensuring integrity throughout international transit.
Retention Sample Storage
A retained portion of every batch is held in controlled storage for a defined period, so any question raised after shipping can be addressed against the original material.
Certificate of Analysis
Batch-specific Certificates of Analysis are issued for every applicable product, providing documentation you can reference in method sections, audits, and internal quality records.

Quality Assurance
Quality assurance does not begin and end at the laboratory door. It extends from the moment we select a supplier to the moment a parcel is handed to the courier for international delivery.
Supplier qualification. We source exclusively from thoroughly vetted suppliers. Documentation, packaging standards, and performance history are reviewed before approval, and ongoing performance is actively monitored – never assumed.
Batch documentation. Goods-in records, analytical results, and final release decisions are all linked to the batch number in our quality management system. If you need to review that file, we can provide it promptly.
Continuous improvement. Procedures are reviewed regularly, with feedback from the global research community feeding directly into how we refine methods and train our team.
Audit readiness. While we are a private company, our records are maintained to a standard that withstands external scrutiny – essential for procurement teams and institutional auditors who require more than just assurances.
